Banh Mi [Bread] - Street Food Of Vietnamese

After  passing 4000 years of war and domination, Vietnamese  began to contribute the period of pain relief and economic development. The first of the opened economy stage, everything was hard to change the regime. Vietnamese were extremely poor at that time. Fortunately, Vietnam is one of the leading countries about producing and exporting rice. So rice and cassava root are extremely close to Vietnamese.

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Saigon where was detached to a separated district of Ho Chi Minh City ...

Maybe born in Vietnam's economic development period, in the first 20 year, Vietnamese economic is quite difficult. At that time, Vietnamese money has not had inflation yet, I remember 200 VND, 500 Vnd was also worth, could buy a lot of things. Kids, children in my neighborhood or my schoolmates saw  bread or called as "Banh Mi" as a daily breakfast. Maybe because the price of a loaf of "Banh Mi" is much cheaper than others. "Pho" was considered a luxury food,  a child who has not earned any money yet, had to ask my parents like me hard to eat it.

Banh Mi is very familiar with the labor class to the knowledge class. Banh Mi is found everywhere in every corner from stores to the small cart, Vietnamese is prefer Banh Mi because of its price, quality and convenience.
